The BR230SUR surge breaker is designed to provide complete home surge protection for sensitive electronics and appliances from the damaging effects of surges. In addition to surge protection, the BR surge breaker is a functional 2-pole thermal magnetic breaker providing protection for overloads and short circuits. The combination of circuit protection and surge protection provides flexibility and space savings in the loadcenter.

Timely

Timely delivery. With the old surge protector/arrester on the main panel fried due to an over voltage caused by a blown transformer in the local distribution station, it was greatly appreciated to get a replacement in such a timely manner.
The one reservation that I have with the oversized breaker/surge arrester is that the neutral bars in the panel prevent you from putting the breaker/arrester close to the main breaker. To fit, it has to be placed at the other end of the panel leaving the other circuits on the panel a bit more exposed to the initial over voltage wave front/spike. However, having it sit on the panel back plane is better than hanging off the side and connected through thin wires to a couple 15A breakers.
